2008-2009 SUPPLY LIST FOR GRADE 5
REMINDER:
Homework Planners and Book Socks will be available for purchase at school during registration.
The following supplies will be needed when school opens:
2 red ball point pens (not erasable)
2 blue or black ball point pens (not erasable)
25 sharpened # 2 pencils
2 pink erasers
3 highlighters – pink, yellow, green
4 Expo dry erase markers (wide chiseled tip)
4 Expo dry erase markers (fine point)
3 old washcloths
Clear plastic 12” ruler with inches and metric
1 pair of scissors
1 zippered supply pouch (soft-sided)
1 bottle of Elmer’s White Glue
3 glue sticks
24 pack of crayons
8 Crayola Thick Markers
8 Crayola Thin Markers
Small box of colored pencils
1 set of Crayola water colors (Classic colors) with brush
Hard plastic pencil box for art supplies
1 large box of tissues
1 container of baby wipes
3 Three Subject notebooks with pockets in dividers (one for each trimester)
(Bring one on the first day of school.)
1-Green pocket folder – science (pee chee type)
1-Yellow pocket folder – Religion
2-Blue pocket folders – language arts
2-Red pocket folders for math
1-Personal pocket folder (your choice of design)
3 packages, 3 X 5 in. 100 count ruled index cards (lines on 1 side, blank on the other)
Index card case (holds 100 3 X 5” cards)
1- USB 2.0 flash drive, at least 256 MB. One per family, one time purchase
(to be used in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8) It costs about $15.00 on sale.
5 report folders (2 pocket folder with prongs) (3 red and 2 blue)
Good News Assignment Book – Elementary Edition can be purchase at registration for $7

Children must have their own supplies. They may not borrow from other students. A book bag must be used every day to bring items to and from school. Please make sure that all of the above items are well labeled with your child’s name, as well as lunch boxes, sweaters, book bags and anything that might be misplaced.

PLEASE LABEL
All school supplies must be labeled with your student's name, including lunch boxes, backpacks,
all clothing items such as sweaters, jackets and anything else that might end up in our school's
lost and found box.
BOOK COVERS
All hardcover textbooks must be covered. Please help with this. Stretch cloth covers (book socks)
can be purchased. These really work! The covers stay on all year! The students can remove them
and use them again the following school year. Cover workbooks with contact paper.
Label workbooks - include name and grade.
BACKPACKS
All students must use a backpack every day in which to bring items to and from school.
Wheeled backpacks are not permited due to limited storage space.
REPLENISH
Parents, please review this list with your student from time to time. Being prepared for class will count
as an effort grade for students. Please keep this list handy during the year as your student
will run out of some of these items. Replenish supplies as needed.
