2008-2009 SUPPLY LIST FOR GRADE 3
REMINDER:
Homework Planners and Book Socks will be available for purchase at school during registration.
The following supplies will be needed when school opens:
1. 1 packet of wide ruled paper
2. 1 pocket folder (pee chee type), for homework. Please no thick binders, organizers or trappers
3. Good News Assignment Book to be purchased at registration for $7.00. Students must use the selected notebook. Organizational/record keeping skills to be taught
4. 3 packages of # 2 pencils, labeled and sharpened.
5. 2 spiral notebooks - 8 1/2 x 11 labeled: Math and Language Arts/Religion
6. Crayons (24), markers 9 thin and / or thick)
7. 1 pencil box, pencil boxes must be used for pencils, markers and crayons (i.e.: spacemaker 7 x 11”)
8. 2 glue sticks
9. 2 red pens
10. Scissors (prefer Fiskars brand - tape name to handle)
11. 2 large boxes of Kleenex (storage is a consideration, so send one box in August, 2nd in January)
12. 1 roll of paper towels
13. Water colors (8)
14. A clear plastic ruler with inches and cm.
15. 1 box of baby wipes
16. 5 book socks, 2 small and 3 large
17. 1 Composition notebook (black/white cover)
18. 1 pkg. of oil pastels
19. 4 pack of black white board markers (prefer Expo or a name brand)
Parents, please review this list with your child from time to time. Being prepared for class will count as an effort grade for students.
Children must have their own supplies. A book bag backpack must be used to bring items to and from school. Please make sure that all of the above items as well as sweatshirts are well labeled with your child¹s name.
All hardcover textbooks must be covered. Please help with this. Stretch cloth covers can be purchased. These really work! The covers stayed on all year! The children will remove them and can use them again in 4th grade. Cover workbooks with contact paper. Label workbooks - include name and grade.

PLEASE LABEL
All school supplies must be labeled with your student's name, including lunch boxes, backpacks,
all clothing items such as sweaters, jackets and anything else that might end up in our school's
lost and found box.
BOOK COVERS
All hardcover textbooks must be covered. Please help with this. Stretch cloth covers (book socks)
can be purchased. These really work! The covers stay on all year! The students can remove them
and use them again the following school year. Cover workbooks with contact paper.
Label workbooks - include name and grade.
BACKPACKS
All students must use a backpack every day in which to bring items to and from school.
Wheeled backpacks are not permited due to limited storage space.
REPLENISH
Parents, please review this list with your student from time to time. Being prepared for class will count
as an effort grade for students. Please keep this list handy during the year as your student
will run out of some of these items. Replenish supplies as needed.
