2008-2009 SUPPLY LIST FOR GRADE 1
REMINDER:
Homework Planners and Book Socks will be available for purchase at school during registration.
The following supplies will be needed when school opens:
PLEASE DO NOT LABEL THESE ITEMS. THESE ITEMS ARE “SHARED” SUPPLIES:
1. 6 large glue sticks
2. 2 large boxes of Kleenex
3. 2 primary pencils (#2020- available at C & M Teacher Supply)
4. 10 no. 2 wooden pencils sharpened (plain/yellow) regular size
5. 1 refill package of baby wipes (they are available at the 99 cents store)
6. 2 red pencils, sharpened (for correcting student work)
7. Avery Lay-flat clear report cover – blue – item #572971 at Staples for $3.99
PLEASE BE SURE TO LABEL THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH CHILD’S NAME :
8. 1 pair scissors (children¹s size)
9. 1 folder (to keep papers in desk)
10. 1 box of markers
11. 1 box of crayons
12. Colored pencils
13. 2 zipper pouches (1 for crayons and 1 for pencils, scissors, glue sticks)
1. Send $1.25 in envelope marked with your child¹s name on the front.
(This money will be used by the teacher to purchase folders in bulk)
15. 1 X-large book sock
Children must have their own supplies. They may not borrow from other students.
A book bag must be used every day to bring items to and from school. No wheeled backpacks due to lack of storage space in classroom. Please make sure to label the lunch boxes, sweaters, book bags and anything that might be misplaced.

PLEASE LABEL
All school supplies must be labeled with your student's name, including lunch boxes, backpacks,
all clothing items such as sweaters, jackets and anything else that might end up in our school's
lost and found box.
BOOK COVERS
All hardcover textbooks must be covered. Please help with this. Stretch cloth covers (book socks)
can be purchased. These really work! The covers stay on all year! The students can remove them
and use them again the following school year. Cover workbooks with contact paper.
Label workbooks - include name and grade.
BACKPACKS
All students must use a backpack every day in which to bring items to and from school.
Wheeled backpacks are not permited due to limited storage space.
REPLENISH
Parents, please review this list with your student from time to time. Being prepared for class will count as an effort grade for students. Please keep this list handy during the year as your student
will run out of some of these items. Replenish supplies as needed.
